International Student Health Insurance
Learn About Mandatory Health Insurance Coverage for International Students at Avila University Arizona.
All international students on non-immigrant visas enrolled at Avila University Arizona are covered by a health insurance plan provided by ISI in partnership with Guard.me. This insurance is mandatory for all F-1 international students and is included in their fees. The coverage includes medical emergencies, prescription medication, and other essential health services.
About your Health Insurance plan
Your coverage will automatically start on the 1st day of the month which your studies begin.
Telemedicine: Your plan includes free access to the Teladoc, a 24/7 telemedicine service that provides virtual access to licensed doctors and healthcare professionals via phone or video calls for common health concerns without needing an in-person visit and at no additional cost.
In-Person Medical Care: For conditions requiring face-to-face consultation, students can locate in-network doctors and hospitals using the plan's provider search tool. Choosing in-network providers helps minimize out-of-pocket expenses.
Prescription Medication Coverage: The insurance plan includes coverage for prescription drugs. Students must pay upfront at the pharmacy and should keep copies of all receipts and the prescription label. These documents must be submitted to the claims team for reimbursement.
Mental Health Support: Understanding the importance of mental well-being, the plan includes DialCare, a virtual and telephonic emotional wellness service. This provides students with access to mental health professionals for counseling and support at no additional cost.
Emergency Services: In case of emergencies, students have access to medical and travel assistance services, including emergency medical evacuation and repatriation. It’s essential to familiarize yourself with these services before an emergency arises.
